I think you could but that would be it for the tank, add an anemone and make it a species tank. I've thought about this for my maroon.

I keep both my mating pairs of maroons each in 26 gallon tanks with RBTAs . 29 is more than enough room for them . Cooqie , you act like they get huge . Females get 2 1/2 to 3 inches and males get 2 to 2 1/2 inches . Maroons tend to never leave their nem except for eating .

OK thanks for the replys. Right now I have them in 12 gallon with a BTA and they are doing great. I plan on getting the 28 gallon nano in a month or so. They will be moved then. To replace them would a pair of black and white percula's fit in the 12g? Thanks for the help.

You mean a pair of B&W Ocellaris clowns . They will be fine as juveniles but when getting adult size they will need a bigger tank . What size are your maroons ? If they are adults the 12 is too small .

1. Not really, maroons get fairly large.
2. there hard to keep together and they get aggressive
3. Please read more about any fish you plan on getting.

"2. there hard to keep together and they get aggressive"
Maroons that have paired up get along fine . If you buy two maroons that are not paired and from seperate tanks , they will fight . But can get along . I wish people would post from experience and not what someone else has said or posted .

"Not really, maroons get fairly large"
Adults get 2-3 inches , which is not large compared to some other clown species .

From what I have seen with an average home aquarium they don`t get that big . Sure there are other instances with people that have bigger tanks than the average home aquarium .
