I feed mine pellet flake mystic shrimp, brine shrimp(which doesnt have much nutritional value) blood worms and homemade food which include shrimo fish clams and other things. I switch off all the time so they never now what they are going to get

ime clowns aren't picky with there foods. they will eat anything you feed them.thats been my case. my clown will even eat food that i feed corals like dt's plankton and zooplankton. any frozen foods should be ideal for clowns

How long have you had them? When I first got mine they would not eat. I tried everything, and then three days later I tried the freezed dried brine shrimp that I feed my freshwater fish and they finally started to nibble a bit. Now they eat anything I stick in there tank. So I think they were just getting used to their new home.

Sounds like something is wrong with your water.
What are your parameters?

I would agree with azfishgal that something is probably wrong with the water. I would definitely go through all of the tests you have and post the results. Have the clowns been scratching on anything? That would be a sure sign there. Hopefully your other clown is still doing ok.

No they havent been scracthing against anything. All the test are good --salinity,ph,amn,nitrites,nitrates etc-- all good and they wont host my anemone either its driving me crazy. Its the 3rd one i got now. The very 1st clown did host him(and has since died)for reasons i dont know But having a hell of a time trying to find another good clown!!!! Fed up!!! I know i dont need one but he seems to do better w/ one.

Not all clowns will host anemone, sometimes they won't even come close to one, so that to me is not a bad sign. Since your last clown died and now the others are not doing good something is wrong, we just need to figure out what. I know you said your parameters are "good" but go ahead and list what they are, you might be missing something, or one of your tests might be bad, that does happen. What are you using to check your salinity. If you are using a hydrometer toss it out and get a refractometer, your salinity could be way off and you wouldn't know it. Are you using RO water or tap?
