Do you plan on removing the yellow tails? They get quite protective of the tank they are in and you could see them picking on the clowns if you add them in.

I made the mistake of adding a pair off clowns to my tank after cycling with damsels. The damsels tore them apart before I could remove them. No more damsels in my tanks unless it's an aggressive setup. They where removed and taken back to the LFS. Also the next time you cycle you should look into cycling with LR, or a peice of store bought frozen shrimp. I prefer this method. I beleive the cycle time is less with this method, and you are not taking a chance at killing fish durring the cycle process.

Do yourself a favor and trade the damsels in before you add anyother fish, they will cause problems, they were there first and they know it. Good Luck

It probaly doesn't matter too much whether you add them at the same time or one at a time. IMO it is better to add them at the same. If you add one at a time the first one you add may become protective of his territory and may be more aggressive when you add the second clown.

If both of them are juveniles ocellaris clowns, then add them together. Before I continue, yeah MOVE the yellow tail.
Anyway, many people believe that ocellaris are better in pairs. If you introduce both of them when they were young, the chances of them to be paired is pretty high. Go ahead, and try to do that. You will have a cute couple in your tank.
However, if you don't then one will establish its territory and it will be hard for you to introduce another same-species fish to your tank. One of them will be territorial.

I had one o. clown and added another one a month later and the old clown attacked the new for about a day until they finally got along. I WAS VERY LUCKy, because if they continued to fight I would have had to take the new one back or risk the death of one my clowns. So, I agree that you should add them both at the same time.
