Can anyone tell me what this stuff is. It was on my brain and I blew it off with a turkey baster. First pic is the stuff on a rock and the second pic is the brain.
Thanks!

when corals get irritated, usually by sand, they produce a muccus coat around whatever is irritating them. This coat gets the sand off of the tissue and allows it to be blown away. Looks like some sand was on your brain and it took care of things on its own. Great looking brain by the way!!! :D

most wrasse species make a cocoon at night to sleep in. It could be the residue just caught on the brain.

Ah yes, forgot about that one. Good thinking Aaron. And garycarr, at night go and look for your wrasse. They look so cool in the cacoon they make! It's like they are really sleeping like you and me!
