hi. I just got a coffe table fish tank n don't know what to do. I'm thinking of a refuge but don't know where to start. the coffe table has no place to keep the lights unless i have to put right on top of the table which i'm not really mine. Any suggestion please help or any direction for me to build a refuge please tell.
:notsure:

Ah, I think I have seen those.
If it is the same I have one answer:
Goldfish.
I can't see doing anything else in there...just not stable enough, no good filtration, etc.

ACTUALLY Fresh water ANGEL FISH. I have one my angels are doing great in there I took the glass top off and added Live plants looks awesome. They have been in there about 2 years now. I would not use it for saltwater though you cant set-up a good filtration system on it you have to use an undergravel filter and small filters that fit on the side of the tank

So did you keep the top off, or have you been able to use it as a coffee table?
I admit the concept is cool...but definitely not good for saltwater. I am also just not sure on gas exchange if you don't take the top off?

When I first started it I used it as a coffetable with my angels then I took the top os so I can add mangrove plants they used to hang over the top until my two-year old started to pull on them. Now palnts are inside the tank but I still have the top off

I'm not sure I understand...plumbed in as part of a larger system or just a tank with macroalgae, etc?
Still going to have gas exchange issues, IMO, unless you leave the top off.
Even as a stand alone system, I think you will have issues with water circulation, etc.

I am not exactly sure how a fuge is setup but IMO I do not think the COFFE table will be you best option. You are probably better off setting up a nice freshwater tank with it and go out and buy a 30 gallon tank for you fuge. With the coffe table not many places for circulation reason 1 I believe you need a deep sand bed for a fuge and the coffe table is only about 12in high. your power heads probably will not fit on the sides of the tank this is only my opinion I would keep asking around maybe someone can help you on this.

Come to think of it the table is only about 9in high with about a 3in lift on the bottom that is not part of the inside of the tank
