collected seawater

bang, i read you use water from your lagoon. anyone else out their collect your water from the sea? where and how do you collect? how do you test n treat before use.

seawater and water for your home aquarium is not the same.... your ph's and alot more other params are going to be way off... if you decide to go with the seawater your going to have to start your tank with it and always use it... not so sure on how to treat it before adding.. and it will be a little more difficult to have your corals and fish acclimate to the seawater when they come from fish stores..
