I don't think you need a license for fish, as long as you are not selling them. Corals, however, you won't be allowed to take.

That should be a big smilie face

You do need a regular Florida saltwater fishing license to collect for personal use. $17 (IIRC, or thereabouts) for a year for FL residents.
The rules are pretty elaborate, check them out here before you go;

Basically, don't be an idiot and collection in a protected area or take Live Rock. For fish, basically nothing too big or too small. Corals, your basically limited to zoas and mushrooms/ricordias, if you can find them, and gorgonians (though not sea fans), not stony corals are allowed to be collected. Inverts, no sand dollars or bahamian starfish.

That's basically just a fishing license isn't it Aqua, like every state has? I haven't looked it up, but there is no special license for taking fish for the hobby is there, as long as you don't re-sell?

Indeed, the guy in my avatar, for one
. Also gorgonians, various algae, snails/hermit, another puffer, filefish, and some more I'm sure I'm forgetting. I caught and kept a lot of stuff when I was a kid, most of which I shouldn't admit to.... Those listed above are what I've collected since becoming what I consider an aquarist, and not someone who 'has fish,' which is probably why they're still alive.
I have caught and released a Grey Angelfish, a Doctorfish, and a wrasse. Would have been cool to keep, but what the heck and I'm going to do with a dinner plate sized Grey Angel?

Yep, as long as you don't exceed the outlined limits, all you need to take aquarium species, is the saltwater license.

No, a fish license is for removing a fish.... for personal use.... to eat for your dinner or to put in your tank. The license required for taking fish to sell is a commercial license and I whole different thing.
