I forget the other 3, it would be a good trivia question, I'm thinking Notre Dame and Nebraska as well.
i dont think that a IA program should beable to play a IAA program personally...

in addition to RUaround posting Tennessee's schedule, here's South Carolina's schedule.....
Thur., Aug 28 North Carolina State 8:00 PM ET
2 Thur., Sep 4 @Vanderbilt 8:30 PM ET
3 Sat., Sep 13 Georgia 3:30 PM ET
4 Sat., Sep 20 Wofford 12:00 PM ET
5 Sat., Sep 27 UAB 12:00 PM ET
6 Sat., Oct 4 @Mississippi 1:00 PM ET
7 Sat., Oct 11 @Kentucky 12:00 PM ET
8 Sat., Oct 18 LSU 12:00 PM ET
10 Sat., Nov 1 Tennessee 12:00 PM ET
11 Sat., Nov 8 Arkansas 12:00 PM ET
12 Sat., Nov 15 @Florida 12:00 PM ET
14 Sat., Nov 29 @Clemson 12:00 PM ET
that's 2 ACC opponents (one of whom is in the top 10) in addition to the regular brutal SEC schedule. and ONE AA team.
off the top of my head....Alabama plays Clemson. Florida plays Florida State and Hawaii. Kentucky plays Louisville. Georgia plays Georgia Tech.
so yeah, your "point" was not researched at all. just because Ohio State has a habit of playing SEC schools and getting taken to the woodshed doesn't mean the SEC isn't the best conference in America.

I would think the good programs would have learned their lesson from Auburn the year they ran the table, but got left out of the title game in great part because they beat the mighty 1-AA Citadel and it ruined their strength of schedule.
Hey Pontius, that should be a tough one for the Gamecocks against the powerhouse Wuff-ford Terriers.

And FYI, I feel comfortable my crappy U oF W Husky's have amonst the toughest schedules in the country Oklahoma, BYU, and Notre Dame out of conference as well as having to play everyone in the 2nd best conference in the country.

ohhh and this schedule is just PACKED with AA teams...

DATE OPPONENT TV TIME (ET)
9/01 @ UCLA 8:00 PM
9/13 UAB
9/20 No. 5 Florida
9/27 @ No. 10 Auburn
10/04 Northern Illinois
10/11 @ No. 1 Georgia
10/18 Mississippi State
10/25 No. 24 Alabama
11/01 @ South Carolina
11/08 Wyoming
11/22 @ Vanderbilt
11/29 Kentucky
Notice I said MOST, Tennessee is one of the few teams that plays a legit schedule. Florida actually put together a respectable schedule for a change this year.

we play Georgia, Florida, LSU, and Clemson. most of the polls I've seen have all of them in the top 10. that means that 33% of our opponents are in the top 10. and that doesn't even include Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas. who is your team and what is their schedule????

7 Sat., Oct 11 Arizona State 3:00 PM ET
8 Sat., Oct 18 @Washington State 3:15 PM ET
9 Sat., Oct 25 @Arizona 3:00 PM ET

seriously, it's not even funny. 8 of the SEC schools would go undefeated on that schedule.

GO CANES
Our first game is tomorrow! I can't wait. Although, I HATE that we won't be in the orange bowl. I don't even know what that is going to feel like. Imagine driving by the field where your favorite team's stadium used to be.

Just curious....How many of you are alumni of the school you are cheering for. Again, not starting a fight, just curious.

I would place money on any of USC's opponents beating the majority of the SEC's out of conference scheduled teams. Notre Dame might be down but I still think they could handle the likes of Wofford and UAB
.

lucky for you, that's a bet you don't have to make. I'd put good money that nobody on that schedule would beat Clemson.

nope. I'd put $100 that Ohio State wouldn't beat Clemson. and this is coming from someone that HATES Clemson. but they have the best RB tandem in the country. one of the most solid WR corps in the country (including one WR that is ranked around 6th overall), by far the best QB in the ACC, and a very solid D. yes, I would $100 down that they would beat Ohio State. until Ohio State proves they can actually beat a good team, I don't want to hear anything about them. they are going to get blistered by USC.

I dunno, WHo did Clemson really beat last year, Florida State and Wake Forest? South Carolina was in a tail spin by the time they played I don't know if that really meant much. New season, we'll see what happens. I aint so sure about SC blistering anyone early in the year.

If we're going by last year, then who did Ohio State beat to deserve to be in the national championship game? their signature win was over a team that lost to Appalachian State. but we don't go by last year, we go by THIS year. and from what I've seen so far (without the season actually starting), I think Clemson would mop the floor with Ohio State.
