color temp ( K )

just wondering if the K value of a MH makes a difference in growth of corals or just more pleasing to the eye.
i.e: less yellow just looks nicer.
would a 250watt MH w/ 4000k have the same results or should i say be benificial enough to support some corals as a 6500k ? im kinda rambeling here......ok, what i wanna know is will a 250watt 4000k MH work ? there i got it out

I think it would be too yellow. Stay 55K of higher in IMO.

yeah it is somewhat yellow. i was just wondering if it would not be benificial at all. i have the bulb and would use it temporarly if it would work.

Sammy is right,that bulb want grow much but akgea.It would keep your corals alive and all.But would'nt promote growth.
