Colors of coraline growth?

There are greens, pinks, and purples. The green normally doesn't do well in tanks, I don't know why but it doens't. I just put some rubble in my tank with green and nothing has started, I would love to see it grow it looks nice.

Good Morning! Actually that's what I have...wanted the reds and got green! Maybe if I get both...it will be Xmas in my tank. The coraline didn't start till I started tweeking my PH's for flow; then Wham it was there, almost overnight!

Question: what is the growth rate for coraline? Fast or slow? .... and what are we calling "fast" and "slow" anyway?

I've seen green, orange, red, deep red, purple, light purple, yellowish purple, plating purple, "digitata" deep and light purple.
In a tank that is at least 6 months old... if you keep your alkalinity high, your pH stable, your lights mid range and not high... also if you keep high calcium and magnesium levels, that will help tremendously.
IF you want to grow a ton of coralline, dose Kalkwasser or "lime water" which balances your Calcium and Alkalinity levels perfectly. keep high magnesium levels and do regular water changes to replace trace elements and you will see a TON of growth. I can turn a 6 month old tank purple in 2 months...

I forgot about the plating. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I can't get much green at all. Mostly purple and red, it looks nice and grows super fast.

I don't think its anything you are doing wrong, I have seen alot of tanks that had green coraline when they were new mine included, but after they mature they would get more pinks, purples and reds. I also have some flourescent orange and pinks but they don't seem to grow very fast.

There's about 50 generas and 1800 species or coraline. It Varies in colors, and all u need is good flow,light, proper;cal,alk,mag. And good water parameters.
The more color diversity the better.
