White light is split up and you get the spectrum. Things obsorb and reflect certain colors of the white light. What is reflected is what color something is. So white light...which is produced by the sun. At least that's my understanding and there's a good chance I'm wrong.
I've wondered this my whole life:
If the only real difference between Gold and Silver, why does Silver reflect white light and Gold reflect yellow?
If someone could answer this for me, you would end years of sleepless nights.
