went to my LFS and got my first corals. I got some frogspawn, some frilly mushrooms, a big hunk of colt coral for 5 bucks, some blue hornet zoas, and some green zoas.
everything is set in place but i wasnt sure how to put the colt coral so i just set it on some LR. Well the currents eventually knocked it down behind a rock. Its still getting light, just cant see it from the front of the tank
is there a trick to mounting colt or should i just wait til it grows up over the rock?

I always attach them with rubberbands and put them in a place where the flow isn't too rough. They attach in about a week. Good luck, it's a cool coral that ime doesn't grow as fast as kenya tree.

+1...I have both colt and Kenya...Kenya grows like crazy...Colt...so so
But I also did the rubberband thing...took about 1 week as PEZ said
Just don't make it too tight or it can cut into it
