Colt Coral

I have a problem. I got a colt coral yesterday as my LSF is moving and he was having a pretty good sale. Here is the problem. it is pretty big, so I stuck it between two rocks in a part of the tank that does not get to heavy water flow or intense lighting. He is kind of lumped over. Part of him is waving in the water and part of him is slumped. Is there anything I should do for him or just give him some time?
Thanks

Well, stuck between 2 rocks may not be the answer. The coral should not have rocks touching any fleshy areas. Also, this coral relies on good ciruculation for food intake.
If it is indeed, lodged between rocks, you need to get him in to a free standing position. Use a tad of superglue at the base to stick him in a good location on a rock. Water flow should cover the entire coral.
It is not unusal for the coral to go thru a "slump" or even shed after just getting intro-ed to a setup. Provide it with some freedom form rocks and decent water circulation and it should do fine. BTW: If you think it is big now, wait until it has acclimated to your tank. Mine tripled in size in 3 wks.

Okay going to move him right now. I sure hope he is okay. Will he stick to the rocks by himself? Should I place him in the sand bed next to a rock to grow on?

Stick him right on a rock and point a powerhead at it and it will open up great in a few days. I used a rubberband on one of mine until it attached itself to the rock and now it is doing well. If it is already stuck onto a small rock when you bought it you could just use epoxy aand stick it somewhere. That's what I did with my other one. Good Luck

Okay I am going to move him tonight. He is already stuck to a small rock so the glue is not working.

They take a few days to get used to your conditions.Very easy to care for and like previous reply said, they grow like crazy.I've prop'd mine three times already(12-15 new pieces).I trade them back to my LFS for other things I need. They love it.

what is that smooth "bridge" looking thing in the middle of the pic you posted? Is it lr? It seems real smooth. Kinda looks like ET's arm. Just curious. Tank looks great:D
