Columbian Sharks, White Tip Shark Cats

Hey everybody, I am new to the waters here and am thinking of converting one of my tanks to a saltwater tank. I currently have three Columbian Sharks (all about 8") in the tank I am going to convert. My question is, what saltwater fish would be happy sharing space with these guys? I know nothing about saltwater fish and am looking for a lot of imput here. I also am curious of what protein skimmer everyone would reccomend buying. Please help, as I said, I know nothing about saltwater tanks, but I am very interested in converting my 55 gallon.

I would do two things:
