Hello everyone,
I am going to convert my 55 gallon over to salt and keep my Columbian Sharks in it. My question being, what could I put in with them, that won't cause harm to them and be big enough that they won't consider it food. I have three of them in a brackish tank right now and they are all about 8"? Also, could anyone answer what would be the best possibl set up for them?

Good tankmates would be somewhat aggressive fish. You could set up a Columbian river mouth biotope which would consist of the sharks (which really are catfish) and maybe some carribean damsels. Or, just other semi-aggressive fish like: wrasses, clowns, hawkfish etc.

Thanks to you both for the info. I did already realize that they are not sharks. I have had the three for about 2 1/2 years now, and Columbian Sharks is the name I have known them by forever. What would work better, crushed coral or live sand? Also, does anyone have any recommendations on a skimmer? How big can Clowns get?
