Razor is from Columbus. I'm in the Newark area. Do you know of any stores in the Columbus area that sell coral? The only place I can find is Aquarium Adventure and they are WAYYYYYYY overpriced and don't have much of a selection. :joy:

Im in the columbus, Ohio area and I need a maroon clownfish. I will do a mail order with you. I usually get most of my stuff from petland but I have noticed they are overpriced and only 2 out of there 6 locations sell saltwater fish. I like going to Aquarium Adventure but thats too far when there's a few stores alot closer.

Thanks. The Jack's at Easton is the closest one to me so I'll try them. I didn't realize they sell coral.

I wouldn't mind going in on an order from swf if they ever get the corals I want.

We went to Jacks in Dayton when we lived there and we got to know a few of the employees. After a couple months they were willing to give us their employee discount. All we had to do was ask. They said....O.K. My wife even negotiates prices at Wal-Mart.
I guess that's why she makes the big bucks. :cheer:
Just ask them if they can do better price-wise. I think they price match as well so if you find it cheaper just bring them proof. And get on their mailing list. (they send coupons)
Also, if you want to road-trip, there is a wholesaler in Dayton called Gerbers that opens to the public a few days a week. Mostly fish, but they get some SUPER-COOL stuff. They also send flyers if you can get on their list.
Oh, and steve24, we used to stop at a Chinese buffet in Lima on our way back from Toledo. They had tempura scallops that my daughter just LOVED.......and Lover's Chicken....who wouldn't like that??

My bad it was getting late and I made a error. The Petland on East Broad St. will have Saltwater in 3 weeks. But the only one that currently sells them is Hamilton. Last week I was told by an employee over the phone that the East Broad location sold sw fish only to get there and find out they were putting saltwater equipment in the store and wouldn't have any sw fish for another month.

What about Columbus, GA?!!?!! We have some good stores here. I am from Macon which is only an hour east of here and has a bigger population. I figured since I am in saltwater let me check out the local stores. Nothing...one store had maybe 5 tanks. Do I see a business opportunity?
