Ok, so after 5 years of not being able to set my aquarium up (military). I have finally settled down in my own house. Time to get er going again. So far, I have spent many nights staring at my lovely live rock (Thanks Saltwaterfish.com). Things have changed a lot since my last setup. So I find myself looking at all the possible fish on this site and it is a little over whelming. My biggest question right now is about tangs. I have seen Yellow tangs in groups in a tank (not a yellow tang fan). So the question is, just about every page about tangs on this site says to only have one of them. So I was under the impression that tangs must be kept separate. So I have been trying to decide which of the beautiful tangs to select. Then I read this "Keep only 1 per tank and they should not be kept with similarly shaped Tangs, i.e. Yellow Tangs" on one of the pages. This makes me think that they mean you should not keep tangs of the same kind in the tank, but different kinds of tangs would be fine. Is this true? If so, then how do you know which ones will go well with each other and which ones don’t?
Thanks,
Shane

Have housed a Nasso a Blue and a Yellow. They were fine. It was a fish only with deco (just a bit) coral so there were NO territory issues.
Have fun!

Thanks for the input. It would have been a shame to have to pick just one of these beautiful fish. Any idea how well they go with Angels? I would like to get either a juvenile queen or emperor. I have an 80 gallon bow front, bout 80 pounds of live rock, some of which is in the sump. Do you figure this to be enough space? Here is the list of what I would like...
1 Juvenile Emperor or Queen Angel
1 Chevron Tang,
1 Palani Tang
2 Percula Clown
1 Mandarin Goby
1 Aneomone (No halide lighting, so this may be a problem???)
