I have seven adware programs on my computer, Norton picked them up, but it cannot delete them. Does anyone know how to get these off my computer.

Spyware installed or anti-spyware installed. A little confusing.
If it is spyware installed look for spy sweeper.
If it is the Anti-spyware it usually uninstalled under the control panel.

Try restarting, and pressing the f8 key to get into safe mode, then try norton again while in safe mode.....see if that works.

I hate Norton. But that's another discussion.
I use Spybot to clear spyware. It's free and it's thorough. More thorough than AdAware. Both are decent, and free downloads at download.com.

Spybot isn't a "fix-all" by any means, but I do use it as well.
I think in this case, programs were running, so norton couldn't access them.....in safe mode they won't be running, and norton may be able to delete them.

Well Sammy I tried it in safe mode and it still wouldn't delete them. I am waiting for a call from my FIL because he is in charge of the computer labs at Kansas State University and deals with this stuff on a daily basis.
Thanks for the ideas though.
