WELL!~ I've got quite an update and proof that "what goes around, comes around".....
I will post pics this evening because I am here at work and don't have a way to upload pics here from my camera. Let's just say that when I came to work this morning and checked on the fish in the 225 gallon tank in the lobby, I saw the most perfect thing to complete this thread and took a pic...
the pic will be called "what goes around comes around"......
..... stay tuned....

They can. Just not as likely.

i saw a discovery channel show where a conch would ride up onto a snail, completely encompass it in it's foot, suck the thing out, and all these hermits were following it cause they knew a new home was coming soon...

I blamed my hermits also at first since this crown conch was supposed to be an algea eater. Just goes to show you should always research before you buy. I do have to say it was really interesting watching it hunt other snails and it was amazing how fast it could move to catch another snail.

Got tied up with my 3 year old niece last night so I couldn't post these, but here is the final result....
"what goes around, comes around"
The killer conch/whelk being eaten by a huuuuge conch in our 225 gallon tank in the lobby.

and all that was left is the empty shell....

My super duper LFS sold me one of those when i was just getting into the hobby. he said it would be awsome for my sandbed...ya right. around that time i had in my aquarium a 6 inch spiny blue lobster that took care of my murderous snail.
