rocks as a bed
one 20 watt flourent light
20 watt pink light
i have a foreign tank.its a via aqua AR-620 tank..so hard to get replacements for it..always have to purchase things online..
when i went to the LFS i notices that one of their anemone's tenticles were like extra huge like it was inflated with loads of water. Is that normal for them..or is there something wrong with itt..??

i would like to purchase an anemone within this week, but i want to educate myself before going off and buying somethign i might regret..I read that you can feed them once a week or twice depending how fast you want it to grow.. It needs alot of light and water current..Now i know they eat certain types of food..How would exactly i change the water..The normal routine that i do bi-weekly..let water sit for 24 hrs then add..or there a different routine when i get an anemone...

You do not have sufficent lighting to keep an anemone. I think a lot more research needs to be done on your part. You need to have good lighting (search anemone lighting on this forum for specifics), and you need decent water quality. 0 AM, 0 Ni, <10 Na. How long has your tank been setup? What is your water chemistry right now?
As for water changes, nothing should change. You should mix your salt and water to the desired SG at least 24 hours in advance with a power head. Preferrably around 48 hours.
As for current, you said you have a power head - how large? You should aim for 20x turnover rate in your tank. So in total with a 30 gallon tank you should have 600 GPH pumping through you tank.
I would get more LR as well, you need around 1 lb per gallon of water. I know you can get away with less, but LR is the best filtration you can buy.
Feeding an anemone depends on the setup. With less lighting you should spot feed them once a week, if you have very nice lighting system, feeding at all is probably unecessary.
I think in order to sustain an anemone long term (measured in years not weeks/months, b/c they can live a VERY long time) you need proper lighting, proper water chemistry, and you need to have a stable environment. IMO you are setting yourself up for failure, research, get your tank ready, THEN purchase the anemone - if you rush into this you will have a dead anemone and probably dead fish on your hands.

regarding this question:

Yes that is normal. Probably a bubble tip anemone - their tenticles sometimes get inflated with water. I'm not positive on the reason - sometimes stress can cause them to do this, other times i think they partially (not fully like you see on BTA) inflate their tenticles to get more surface area for the zooantha. LIke my BTA doesn't inflate all the way, but the tenticles are by no means empty, then are full of water from time to time, and when the lights go out they deflate - which is why i believe it is so that there is more surface area for the zooantha to take sunlight in.
I didn't mean to sound harsh, it just seemed that you were asking a lot of 'set up' questions, and you were wanting an anemone. From experience i would say you should have your tank setup for about 8 months to a year. Not only for it to become more stable, but for YOU to get more confortable with the water changes. It took me like 10 water changes before i know how to do it w/o effecting the water chemistry. Also it takes a while to get testing down - which is vital i knowing what is going on in your tank.
Upgrade your lights, get used to water changes, get used to testing your own water (don't trust the LFS), then get an anemone. I would also raise your SG up to around 1.026 (which if you are using a hydrometer it may be at right now, hydrometers vary with accuracy and are usually off +/- .003

30 gallon setup, I've had that size too. My first attempt with an anemone was disaster, poor lighting. I upgraded tank to 55 gallon and again I failed, again poor lighting, then upgraded lighting to 360 watts of VHO, I did very well with a bubble tip. In fact years later I still have the same anemone in a 90 gallon with 440 watts VHO and 500 watts MH, and have grown nearly 100 from that very first one. Some days I think I'd like to get rid of them all! LOL.
