Condy Anemone HELP!

I just bought a condy anemone from my lfs. What do they eat? My maroon clownfish hasn't gone near it yet, but I saw it playing in it at the lfs when I bought them.
It doesn't have purple on the ends of its tenticals... Does this mean its dieing? Is there any suppliment that I should go out and by right now?

Also, right now my condy is releasing some sort of stringy stuff... Is this its crap or something? lol I have never had a anemone before : They stuff is real long and there is ALOT of it! Its real weird...

I also spot feed mine silversides. And yes, that stringy/slim stuff is waste, there is only 1 way in and out, so therefore they kinda close up and expell waste.
