Well I read that this was poisonous and ate zoos in the hitchhiker thread, just wanted to confirm this since only one member stated this. Thx in advance!

There are 1000s of species of nudis....not known what most feed on but many do feed on corals....Cant ID yours from that photo, but you can try searching seaslugforum DOT net

I'd get rid of it. It is going to eventually die of starvation anyways so might as well remove it before it causes damage (if it is indeed a bad species).

Thx, people. He took the "FW Express" to the other tank!
Actually I hijacked the pic from the other thread. My Kodak 3.2 just isn't cutting it for close-ups. Wish he was the one that ate Aiptasias and save me $100.00, but no such luck. Thx again!

You may have just flushed the one Nudibranch you were looking for. From your pic it looks like a Berghia Nudibranch. which eats Aiptasia.

I'm pretty sure that is a bad nudi that eats zoas. I would remove it from any system you have and be on the look out for others.

They eat Zoa's too. I found 3 on a cluster of Zoas I had bought, munching down. So I sent them for a ride through my pump, and then down a drain that does not lead to the ocean. They are very poisonus.

Great point Threed240, I just read about a man who squished one with his bare finger and within 5 minutes had to call 911.

No, they are different species. Although they look similar, one eats Zoa's and one eats Aiptasia. I'm not saying for sure the one in the pic is the right one but it would've been worth investigating before removing it. Almost all Nudibranch's are specialized feeders, feeding on one particular thing and that thing only, I guess that's why they are so hard to keep in an aquarium. But then again, better safe then sorry.

Well, I've had plenty of aiptasias and never seen any of them eaten, so after looking at 100's of pics and reading articles, decided better safe than sorry. I have lost yellow polyps the nite they went into the tank, next morn gone, so I couldn't rationalize keeping it. Isn't these tough decisions great.

Yes, I saw that one along with a couple of others. Looked identical, but "legs" were more dark brown than green, but didn't have anything to magnify it with for closer inspection.
