Iv'e been doing alot of research latly on dosing kalkwasser and i am still a little confused on a few things.when using the drip method it states to drip slowly like a drip a second(depending on tank size),but wouldn't that take too long and wouldnt the tank evap be matched to the drip? And if so how would the off ever fill my supm to the correct level? And too those that are dosing kalk are you driping it everyday and at what times??
anymore information would be much appreciated..

Still very confused...

I am using a sulfur denitrator as a kalk reactor...Best move I ever made on my tank. My top off pump ,pumps through the reactor which adds kalk saturated top off water whenever the ato kicks on.
I have my kalk reactor pump set to run for 5 minutes a day to mix the kalk powder. Your individual time will be based on your own system requirements.
My alk was always low, and to be honest, I was a little lazy dosing the two part solution. Since adding the reactor, my alk is constant at 9.5-10dkh and my calcium is at 440.
I am getting alot more color from my sps corals in the past few weeks. Some of them were almost fully browned out and now they are gorgeous.
You can dose the kalk without the reactor, but for me, I like the automation part of it, and it is less hassle and constant supply instead of a big dose at all one time.

I had mine set up in a 2 gallon rubbermaid. I used 1/4" tubing and had a float shut off in my sump. I would premix the kalk in a different container then put it in the 2 gallon rubbermaid everyday to drip it in the sump for the evap top off.
I would have to clean out the float about one time a month. Due to the kalk build up.

Forgot to say that I would mix it in a tea jar so I wouldn't get the stuff that forms on the bottom or top. I would just use the water in the middle of the jar after it was mixed
