What do all you do it yourselfers use to connect pvc piping?
I got some all purpose cement at a hardware store but I don't think it will be safe. It has all kinds of warnings and smells nasty.

Have to bump.
I wanted to do this tonight or get some other sealant tomorrow.
Anyone? Anyone?
(Name the movie)

You need to buy some pvc cleaner (purple stuff) and pvc cement. Go to Lowes, Home Depot or any hardware store. It's real easy
to use
.

All right a reply!
Yes I got the purple cleaner and cement.
I was just worried it might be harmful.
I thought maybe I should use aquarium sealant or something.
OK I am going to use it unless someone objects.
THANKS!

HEY PHIL....
JUST REMEMBER ONE THING....THE PVC CEMENT STICKS
ALMOST AS SOON AS THE PVC PIPE AND FITTING HIT EACH OTHER....YOU MUST FIRST LINE UP THE FITTING AND PIPE EXACTLY THE WAY YOU WANT IT AND THEN PUSH IT ON IN ONE LONG MOTION AS THERE IS NO WAY TO ADJUST IT AFTERWARDS....
ALSO, DONT USE PVC CEMENT ON ANYTHING THAT YOU MIGHT
WANT TO REMOVE AT A LATER DATE....I.E... PVC PIPING THAT WOULD CONNECT TO BULKHEAD FITTINGS....JUST USE SILICONE
ON THOSE FITTINGS THAT YOU MAY WANT TO REMOVE....
REGARDS....

Phil...the purple primer and PVC cement is the identical system and materials used in your home (if equipped with PVC) water system. Perfectly safe.

Thanks for all advice but most of all to Juggernaut
Doing this would save me a trip to the store to get more pipe and 90's. Right around 6 seconds!
