for those of you who dont know i am in the process of setting a a 175 oceanic bowfront tank with 2 built in overflow boxes
i am running 2 400w mh and 2 110 vho's, 1/3 horse power chiller, ecosystem 3012, sealife systems berlin sump and a protien skimmer, and a calcium reactor
my ? is on one of the overflow boxes the ecosystem refugium will be hocked up and on the other overflow the sump with the protien skimmer and a calcium reactor will be hocked up they wil both have there own return pumps the tank is also a closed loop system do i have to join the sump and refugium with a piece of pvc so that the water is the same? i would prefer not to if i dont have 2 because there will be 700 gph going through the sump and only 180 gph going through the refugium

I think you will be ok without joining them.
As always; do a dry(freshwater) run first though.
Best way to find out, :)
Drp some pics by if you can, ;)
