constant high nitrates - any suggestions?

Make a sulfur denitrator. I had constant high nitrates in the 60-100+ range. Large bioload was the main problem. I tried every solution under the sun and spend hundreds on nitrate sponges/media, water changes, setting up a fuge (good thing though). Finally made a sulfur denitrator (cost about 35-45 bucks to make with media). Nitrates went down to 10 within 2 weeks. They later dropped to 0 and have been for over 6 months now with the same bioload and same feeding as before.

Looking thru this thead I would say yes increase the depth of your sand bed.
The gobie cleaning it to the bottom of the glass tells me it's not deep enough to help with nitrate reduction. As for your stocking list - a 24 g nano with 20 lbs lr and some sand - you probably have around 15 g of water in there. Six fish is heavy for that amount. Rethink the list and try running tank with just 3 or 4 instead of 6 and you will see nitrates drop.
