I purchased this to see if it can get rid of the salt that always leaves streaks on my glass and equipement (outside of tank), and its complete crap! I dont reccomend buying it. It makes the glass look like you washed it with mud when it dries.
That is all lol.

Get a couple of paper towels, turn your back to the fish tank, spray some windex on one...wipe the tank with the windex cloth and then dry it off...no streaks and everything looks great.
I have been doing this for 30+ years and never lost a freshwater or saltwater critter.

lol check my post in glass cleanner:p
I was getting this product more for my equipment to be honest.. the salt gets in the cracks and its really hard to get out.. I usually use vinegar and water on the equipment and it gets most of it off but there always some left so I thought I'd try out the spray.

Plain old hot water cleans off salt easy.

This made me laugh so hard at first cause I thought you meant so the fish don't see you using windex. Then I thought about it for a minute and realized you meant so you don't get any spray in the tank...

I use a window squegee (no idea how to spell) and warm water. Takes two seconds. You can buy them at the dollar store too.

RO/DI and the baby wipes from work to clean. To photo spiffify I use those microfiber clothes. The shine from those are amazing.

I never thought of using microfiber cloths. I will have to give that a try. Great idea!
How does everyone wipe down and clean their stands? Mine could use a clean but I can't find the right thing to make it look new.

Not sure he means ever.. I think the poster meant a loss due to the use of Windex. Then again, I am not sure you could prove or disprove that Windex was the cause of death unless something died instantly (and then I think everything would have to start stressing instantly to prove it was definitely the Windex).

Yah, I didn't know how to emphasize the dripping with sarcasm response.
It was a funny quote to take out of context though

son of A..... that was the same product I suggested a poster try in a thread a few days ago. I use the API wipes, never tried the spray. but I get good results with the wipes.

I dont know maybe I got a bad batch lol. When I used the spray it looked like mud was all over my glass haha.
I usually use windex.. same room.. spray on the glass and everything.. I think people are too sketchy with their tanks.. I;'ve been doing this for 5 years on my FW tanks and for 9months on my SW tanks and I clean my glas ALOT. Nothing bad has happend yet so I think people have to chillax with the windex myths. I belive if you dont go pour the whole bottle in your tank but some mist gets in your fine..
