(Cont) Clowns and anemones...what's the problem???

Turns out....(in my 15g tank!!!)....my bulb anemone has been thriving has grown about 1 1/2 times its original size! Not only that, but one of my false percs actually took to it and has had a symbiotic relationship with it and has layed several eggs that I am able to see! :D
My tank is actually the best it has ever been! I added a Coral Beauty (yes to my 15g tank and is in superb health! So...in your :) )
I am extremely pleased and lucky how this couple came along!

Take it easy there Mr.Tang.
A coral beauty does not get that big so IMO it would be ok in a 15.
The problem is however there is more then just the coral beauty. How much more I'm not sure.
A 15 can be overstocked quickly so the choice of what to put into a 15 must be planned well.
Good Luck !!!

i think if everything is ok...and it sounds like it is perfect in his tank then he should keep it. He probably has a very hardy Coral Beauty and it's doing fine in there. keep it unless there is a problem. I think it would be happier in mr.4000's tank but not everyone can have that size tank.

I don't get this thing, the problem with small tanks and more than one fish. I currently have 10 gal tank with only one sebae. I listened to you guys, but I'm thinking, there it is, one fish in one tank, isn't it lonely? Will it tell you if it's lonely? So if we're talking about happiness of fish, it's hard to argue.
My other argument is many fishes live in a cubical in lfs, and that's less than 10 gall, and there are more than 1 fish per cubicals, so what makes it not ok to put them in a bigger tank, a small tank in this case? Yes they will grow, but we'll never know, probably something happened and it dies tomorrow, who knows?
If it does grow, as many people argue. to their adult size, when is that going to happen? It's not going to happen over 3 months right? And again who knows what's going to happen in 3 months, probably someone get you a bigger tank, who knows?
All I'm saying is, as long as you take good care of your fish, having 2 in 15 gall shouldn't be a problem. If you want to argue about excess waste, argue that with a 100 gall owner who overfeeds the fishes constantly.
It's just another point of view of the problem :) . What do you think Mr. Tang? :)

I am going to have to agree with Mr. Tang.
You do have a small tank and angels are active fish.
The clowns should be ok because they will stay with the anemone. But you said you have more than one. I will agree if you have two of them but It is over crowding if you have more.
The coral beauty gets to be 4 inches and are active swimming around and in and out of the rock work grazing on the algae and corals.
It needs at least 30 gallons.
And the clowns will get to be 3.5 inches.
That is 11 inches of fish when they are adult size and if you only have two clowns.
DiscusKing...AHHHHHH!
You have a pygmy angel? What kind? And a Few Marroon clowns? In a 18 gallon tank?
AHHHHH! Maroon clowns get to be 6 inches long and depending on the angel it can be the same length.
You are going to have probs. Especially because of the size of the maroon clown and
the maroon clown is the most aggressive clownfish!

I agree with you Mr Tang, I'm just saying that there is another way of looking at things, as always. I have all the respect for you Mr Tang, I do take you as one of many experienced ones in this bb. Thanks for the respectful reply :) .

I forgot to mention, the two lfs that I know of around here have little cubicals for their stocks. One of them also has a really big tank for shark, I don't know how big, but there's about 5 or so shark in there. I'm pretty sure that the tank is also overstocked. I have no other choice, unless I want to go to ***** . So yeah, that's the case.

Most lfs that keep the small cubes for the fish only have them there for a short period of time so I dont see that as a problem.
Using Mr.Tangs way of thinking (and there is nothing wrong with it) taking any fish out of the massive ocean and putting it into our small tanks is selfish and morally wrong.
I have been in this hobby for around 5 years now so not everyone agrees with your way of thinking.
Also if you go by what the masses are saying I hope you do not keep your tang in that 45 because most say you need at least a 75.
