Convincing a ricordea to let go...

Last night I got a really nice ricordea - 2 polyps one attached to a small piece of rubble. I didn't have any superglue on hand so I placed it in what I thought to be a safe spot until I could run to the store this morning and position it more permanently. Over the course of the night someone (Im guessing my emerald) knocked it down into the sandbed. Now the "free" polyp grabbed hold of the other side of the piece of rubble so it's now kind of like a ball of ricordea. I was hoping that by placing it back up on the rock it would kind of work itself off trying to get towards the light but it hasn't loosened up a bit yet. Is there anything I can do to kind of coax it off the rock without doing any damage?

Ice cube ~ I would have never thought of something like that. Wouldn't that be risky to harming it? I thought sudden temperature changes were a bad thing?
It's slowly starting to spread apart. I decided to make it a bit angry by putting it in a place I knew it wouldn't like in the tank hoping that maybe it would try to move itself. Lo and behold the polyp on the bottom is slowly making it's way out and onto the rock that I've placed the little rubble piece it's attached to on. Hopefully before tonight I'll be able to access the rubble piece and stick it into place :D

Point a PH at it for a while. Place it in a dish with net over the top and point a powerhead at it. The flow may make it let go of the rubble.
