just one of many more questions.... My water seems stay around the 82-84* range. I do not have my heater hooked up and am running my ac during the day. No direct sunlight nor am I leaving the lights on in the tank for extended periods of time. I really didn't want to invest in a chiller since I live in New Jersey and have relatively short summers. Is it o.k. to put a few "non-chlorinated" ice cubes in my wet-dry to cool the water a little bit, and thus have more oxygen in the tank?

If you feel you need to put ice in to cool the tank, I suggest you first put it into a plastic baggie. Or use those reusable plastic freeze cubes.Thats what I do. STEVE
