Easy Question..
While cleaning out my filter floss, I found two of these:
Are they safe to put back in my tank, and if so.. should I put it back into the display, or the filter?
Picture # 4: sorry for the blurry pic, is this an egg of some sort? I usually find them in the filter floss, or on the sandbed.

1,2 and 3 are amphipods. They are good to have in your tank. As for pic 4, it looks like one of the most dangerous creatures ever found in saltwater aquaria. The zeemboight. Do NOT get within 11 inches of a zeemboight, as they have an aura around them that radiates death. Even Chuck Norris wont mess with a zeemboight.

well I hope I never meet up with one while diving, long as they stay in the deep sea we'll be fine.

I like this thread...it's occasionally informative while being predominately bizarre...just like me!
