I don't have one, but from what I've heard, it's a bit risky to keep them in reefs. Like dwarf angels in a way, they're hit or miss, basically. Some people have reported problems of copperbands nipping at their corals, and some people have said they've never caused them problems.
My advice is that if you're going to get one, get one as small as you can. Chances are better that it's less likely to nip at corals when it grew up around them versus if it was introduced into the tank as an adult. JMO.
Either way, good luck! :D
PS. If you're thinking about them for apitasia control, there have been a lot of good things said about peppermint shrimp for that.

I guess I should say that you cant have any feather dusters because CBBF do eat them. I have the little FDs growing in my fuge and i pull some out every now and then and put the in the main tank for my CBBF. I think a fuge goes a long way to help keeping them healthy.
Jim you reminded me about the worms cause thats what FD are. You probly know that brine shrimps not good for the main diet for any fish, right.

hey dog i have heard that.. what can you tell me about why this is true? just nutritional value? Or does it have to do with them being alive? I heard feedin live things can change how the fish act

well it is nutricios but not enough nutrients to sustane a fish for a period of time. but you could also dip them in some formula before giving them it. still try to suppliment with other forms of nutrients

You should try a Long Nose butterfly if you are looking for a reef safe butterfly I have one in my tank and love him, he has a ton of personality and is a very beautiful fish when you get him under the lights.

MY CBB doesn't touch any of the corals. He did clean out the aiptasia and the small dusters though. He hasn't bothered the large duster at all.
(Tried to post a pic, but the site is having difficulties)

I have both a copper banded and a flame angel in my tank for over a year now. I have no complaints to either of them, except the copperband butterfly does eat the small featherdusters on my LR. Other than that, neither of them ever nip at any of corals.

My CB is fairly new to my tank, but he hasn't touched a thing except the small dusters like Cayman's.
