Copper in LR?

Well my friend's getting out of this hobby and he wants to know if I want have his LR, Well the thing is....He used copper in his tank to treat ich and i dont know if the LR would absorb it. If so how would I, lets say "Decopper" it?:confused:

I am not really sure. If it is a fish only I do not see a problem but i am not sure if it can leach out and harm Inverts and corals. I believe the concensus out here is not to use it if you plan on keeping inverts and corals. I am not a chemist however and maybe someone else will be able to shed some more light on this. Personally I would not use it for fear of it leaching

You cant add that LR to your tank if you plan to have inverts or corals.. If your going to run a FOWLR then your fine.

I agree. I had the same problem. Heard it will eventually leach back into your system. It'll even kill snails!

I don't think its worth the chance if you have or plan to have inverts.

OK, well i do have inverts and assorted corals so i will definatly not be adding this rock to my tank.
