Copper Level for QT

What's the best level of copper to use in a QT for new fish? The package of the junk I purchased said .30ppm but a new fish I introduced which was quite lively didn't do well in it.
I understand copper irritates the skin of fish and I don't want my poor new babies to become even more stressed out after their long journey from Florida to Georgia!
Also, I've found the quality of fish from swf to be fantastic, has anyone had any problems that weren't quickly resolved?

The best thing to do is not to use copper. Are you trying to treat something?

I'm wondering if I should add copper to my QT tank when I get new fish. I'm a new hobbyist and I've gone through 'all my fish died' so I'm trying to do it right this time.

weesh, glad to see that a new hobbyist will be setting up a QT.
It is best NOT to add meds to QT unless your fish are sick and need a specific medication. There is info in the FAQ Thread at the top of this forum on QT setup if you are interested.
