Try tearing down the whole aquarium, cutting out the silicon seals, and re-making a new aquarium with the old glass plates and new silicon. (just for starters)
Sorry, but IMO, once a tank has been treated with copper, it can never be used for inverts again. It leaches into and eventually out of the silicon seals, latex tubeing, rock, sand, plastic powerhead impellers, lots of other resivours (sp) for the copper to hide and leak back out of.

It is bad but I have heard of people use carbon and other methods to remove it.. I would sit tight Someone should have a answer for you.
All isn't lost..Once you get it out I would try adding something inexpensive to your tank just to see if it will survive.

Tonka please don't add links to another store. Just look for a product that removes copper from your tank. I used copper in my main system and I wanted to keep inverts so I used Cop-a-way by Awuatronics and it worked. Right now I have a full blown reef tank w/ no problems. TJ

Use carbon and PLOY-FILTERS they will remove the copper. Keep the poly filters in your sump or area of water flow. They remove other waste but are great at removing copper. Keep one or two in your sump all of the time and IF there is any copper released down the line the Poly filters will absorb it.

Did you ask at the lfs if they can order something for you such as the poly filters mentioned. I can't believe any fish store cannot get you copper remover if you ask them. Some stores don't stock these things but have access to them when they order. If you still have no luck contact me thru my homepage and I'll tell you where they can be had.
