Hello All,
I made a partial impulse purchase yesterday and got a Copperband Butterfly fish that is about 4 inches long. I currently have a standard 55G tank along with a 30G refugium. I do have a 6FT tank in the garage waiting for me to upgrade when I move to a new house.
I went to the LFS to get some Joe's Juice or peppermint shrimp to help with an aiptasia problem. They didnt have any joe's juice and I dont really like the look of the pp shrimp. Anyhow, they had this CBB there and I watched him for a while. He was eating and moving around pretty good.
So, I get him home, acclimate him for 3 hours and put him in his new home. Within a minute I did see he went straight for one of my smaller feather dusters. Oh well, they can do that. One thing I did notice about him is he really does cruise around the tank poking at the rocks.
I have 3 clowns
2 green chromis
fire shrimp
snails
hermits
and now the CBB
So here are my questions.
1. What kind of food is he poking at in the LR?
2. I have about 40lbs of LR in my DT and probably 50lbs more LR in my refugium. (I wanted to have more in the fug to leave more swimming room in the DT) Am I going to have enough LR in the DT to keep him going? I will also feed mysis shrimp which the LFS person said he was eating as well.
