I was just inquiring about how many of you have had success with these.
I started looking at them as a control for the hundreds of fan worms that have taken over my lr and fell in love with 'em.
I've read all the issues with feeding and some coral picking, but I'm willing to take the chance and have bought a large one at my LFS who is eating fine there.
My only concern is that he might have problems with my current tank mates. He is at least 4-5" round so I dont think he will be intimidated too much but just thought I would see if anyone has had any conflicts with these and the following fish.
Flagfin Angel
medium blue tank
hawkfish
4 - engineer gobys
Percula Clown
pink pseudochromis
yellow tail damsel
These are all very peaceful fish so I dont forsee any trouble but who knows....

I don't see any problems there.
The only problem with the copperband is his coral picking and finicky eating habits. If you have yours eating already, that's great!

Yea, hell be allright. Just watch out and make sure that the other fish dont have any problems. They DO eat corals, which can be a problem though. I wouldnt really take that chance. I mean, still, watch out, see how he does. If you keep it well stocked with food, it might just ignore the corals. Also, wat size tank is he in?

Yep, good question...
It’s a 125.
I added him to the tank last night and so far so good. He swam around all night picking and poking at my LR and did actually pull off a couple fan worms.
My flagfin sort of buddy'd up to him right off the bat by mimicking his swimming.
He did swim up and down against the glass for quite a while. I figure he sees his reflection or something.
This morning he was swimming around sort of at a tilt which is worrying me a bit, but he's still getting acclimated.
These fish are beautiful!

yea I had one too, but it got into a fight w/ my yellow tang and died but he took the tang with him.
I also had a smaller tank so you should be fine. Mine ate whatever was there for it to eat

Just an update:
My copperband is doing fine so far after 3 days. He's swimming around picking at my feather dusters just like i wanted. In fact, there are none left!
He's eaten everything I've fed him - Mysis Shrip and Plankton.
I'm cautiously optimistic, but after 3 days he's doing just fine.
Very interesting fish for sure.

Sweet!
How big is your CB?
I was worried about him picking at my LPS Open Brain and I had seen evidence yesterday, but it's not him doing it.
Its my Flagfin angel who all of a sudded started picking at it???

The little feather dusters in my tank were starting to take over. They were growing everywhere and I tried to wipe them off with a toothbrush but they just redistributed around the tank.
