has anybody had any luck keeping a copperbanded butterfly with corals -- this site says they may be reef safe, to monitor them. But what does that mean? - can it be done and what is the best food suppliment for them.

Hey, I have had mine for about 3 months in a mixed reef and he has not touched a thing. We love him, one of our favorite fish. Mine eats mysis like it's going out of style. He also likes formula one cubes and brine shrimp soaked in Zoecon.

Make sure that you watch it eat before you leave the store. I bought one 2 weeks ago, the guy at the pet store said that it was a good eater and he said that he had already fed it. It never ate and it died 4 days later.

I think they need to be monitored with inverts and feather dusters. I have heard they eat aiptasia too!

Mine has never bothered any corals or inverts, but he ate every single feather duster on my LR. I don't have any clams, but I hear they will nip at them as well.
