Do you mean a Coral Beauty Angelfish ??
If so then they mainly swim high and low thru the rock work feeding and are often in the rocks more than they are not. Or at least in my tank. Rarely out and about in the water column.
Mine moves around a lot and swims through the rocks but isn't often out in the water column. He will come out to feed and swims around like a mad person.
