Coral Banded and Cleaner shrimp?

I have 2 cleaner shrimp and 1 fire shrimp, my LFS has a coral banded sgrimp that i want but they say it will kill my others??? Is this right? thanx Todd

Probably not. If anthing it might chase them away from food or from it's hang out, but it won't go stalking them to kill them. I kept a coral banded ith a few cleaner shrimp and he didn't mess with them. The others knew to keep their distance. In a larger tank like yours you should be okay. Probably the real risk would be after the cleaners molt. They are a bit more vulnerable then.

I wouldn't do it, but that's my opinion. the cleaner and fire would be virtually defenseless in a fight against a cbs. and I don't really see what the cbs' are good for anyway, at least the ones you have clean and have good personalities.

I appreciate both your answers, sounds like i would be better off not getting one, oh well, ill find something else to get.. I did get 2 horse show crabs last week, there really cool!! Thanx again Todd

Thanx i new that they grew, but wasnt too sure how big, if they get too big i can frag them out!
just kiddin, ive got a friend with a much bigger tank than mine, ill give em to him. thanx. todd

Right now I have a fire and a CB shrimp, and I regret getting the CB. I caught him nipping at my fish, and if I were you I would stay away from these guys. My two shrimp get along fine, but it's not worth it to jeopardize the tank's harmony.
