coral banded shrimp claws grow back?

i got mine with out his claws when i purchased him it looks like they are growing back is this what happens? is it possible? my clown grew back some of his nibbled off fin.

Yes sir. They loose their fore claws as defense. Clamp down then drop the arms and get away. All inverts have the ability to regenerate in some fashion, especially shrimp and hermits. There was a post on this about a year ago. Search around and you may see the pictures that went along with it :)

Mt BCS lost one pincher which was regenerated the next time he molted. Truly amazing. and he molts about every month or so. So you should have a full BSC shortly.

It should grow back in the first molt. I have an emrald crab I got from this site. It only has 1 claw and 1 leg and on the other side he has 2 legs. I want to take a before and after picture before he molts. Its been 2 months so I guess his body is regenerating the lost limbs before it molts. How long is a normal molt for a emrald crab? Thanks
