Coral Banded Shrimp - Eggs

I was just looking at my CBS tonight. She looks like she might have eggs in her. There is a light blue color on her abdomen and it looks like she keeps lifting up her skin/shell to insert food or something in there. Is it possible she will lay eggs? There is no male CBS in my tank, can they hatch? I've had her for over 2 years and never noticed this before. Only other shrimp I have is a blood red.

With out a male I would say if she does lay eggs they will not hatch. There won't be anything to fertilize the eggs. I'm no expert on CBS though.

IIRC, the female always has blue on the chest, which mine has. Now she has light blue underneath.

haha, I figured the same, but I've never noticed eggs after having her for over 2 years. Now that I have the blood red in there, I was wondering if somehow...
