Coral Banded Shrimp feeding

I just got a coral banded shrimp in my 55g reef and have not been able to get him to eat anything. He has been in the tank since Saturday and has not to my knowledge eaten anything. What do you guys recommend that I do to get him to eat, or will it just be a matter of time until he does accept some sort of feeding?

most shrimps will look for leftovers on their own. i wouldnt worry him. mine ate whatever i throw into the tank.

Mine seems to like my hermit crabs :/ and sometimes I see him eating a bristle worm which I like just wish he would stick to them. He is a fast little booger too, I tried to catch him to take him out since I want some peppermint and a cleaner shrimp but he is too quick to get back behind the rocks.

CBS are very teritorial. i would advise against adding other shrimp in the tank with the CBS because it is a smaller tank. with that being said, i know that there are people out there that have them mixed together with no problems.

So when u two say CB you are refering to the Coral Banded and not the Camel Back one right? And where do you get Silverside and Krill the LFS?

I just got my CBS yesterday and I feed him a piece of dead shrimp. Try touching the very end of one of his antenne with the food. Be very gentle, like it was floating by. If he thinks that he has happened upon some food he might be more receptive.

Has anyone had any experience with a CB shrimp attacking their corals? Mine seems to ALWAYS be sitting on top of my mushrooms. I'm not sure if he is eating them or what, he just kind of sits there. His claws seem to be looking for food on the mushrooms more so that eating them. I would think that at least he is stressing the mushrooms.
Any ideas??

i wouldnt worry about it to much. just keep an eye on him and the shrooms. if the shrooms look stressed them move them to the other side of the tank and see if that helps

They eat mostly at night. If you have a well established tank he will be fine. They like worms, bristle worms and such. Feather dusters are worms and I hear that some CB will clean them out. I haven't had a problem with that.
