Well i don't know about yours but mine is definately nocternal, he has a spot in his cave where he hangs upside down all day. WHen the lights go out he comes out and feeds.

Mine also hides all day and comes out at night He has a pretty good hiding spot because the only time I see him is after lights out

same here, my last CBS would always stay BEHIND the live rock and only came out at night. Beautiful shrimp though, I had a pretty big one and I miss him. Still don't know what happened to him, its a toss up between a natural death and lunch for my pufferfish. Damn pufferfish. :(

I would guess he was a victum of your pufferfish. I used to have a porcupine couple years back when i was first was getting started, the "Kid" that sold him to be said he'd be perfectly fine with my tank. Yeah he would eat any invert that entered my tank, beautiful fish in my opinion but i had to return him after a few months. The price i learnt of buying before research.

When i bought my porcupine i was told that he would eat my cbs. The shrimp is still alive living with the puffer, in fact the one causing any problems between the two of them is the shrimp. Ive seen him pinch my puffers tail several times.

Our coral banded shrimp is EXTREMELY active.......he's running around pretty much all day. Maybe he's on fish crack.

definitely nocturnal unless your lighting is weak and then they are out all the time. Mine stays in the shadows when the MH is on but as soon as it goes off and there is actinic light for a half hour he is out and about and very active all night long.

Mine stays visable but in the rocks during the day. Unless, of course, he feels like being a jerk, then he positions himself on top of the rocks to grab at fish tails.
