Mine eats everything I put in the tank. Expect algae sheets i got especially for him. Maybe if you just got him he needs afew days to acclaimate? Did you try soaking his food with garlic?

My coral beauty angel eats pretty much everything I put in the tank, dried, nutritionally enhanced brine shrimp, formula 2, and prime reef. I did try the algea sheets when I first got her and she wasn't interested in them then, but I'm going to try her on it again this week. She and my clowns are all such good eaters, that it's a strong consideration for me in deciding which fish to put in next....

It is not uncommon for these fish to snub flakes and pellets for a long time, and that is just as well. After all, they aren't the best diet. So I would go out, try some frozen formulations - there are several. For the time being you may want to pick up some liev brine shrimp. Take a small amount at a time, allow them to "soak" in some tank water along with some selcon, zeocon or even microvert (they'll eat it). This makes a nutritionally poor food a bit better. Few fish will refuse live brine, but it is not a good long term diet. Nice treat though :) So try a wide variety of foods for this angel
