coral beauty is having seziers(sp)

ok so title pretty much says it all, about a week and a half ago my chromis's started to pick at my CB's fins, so i was like no big deal and took them out, well now he is swimming sideways and having what appears to be seziers, another thing i noticed is that his fins are still disappearing. its a 55 gallon tank and i am checking the paramiters right now, just give me a sec to get them up.

oh, ive had him for about 6 months, and i have another tank i can put him into if needed even though it is not a QT.

I believe Beth was more concerned that for his own safety, and to try to treat his problem, he should be in a QT/HT so that the other fish stop picking at him. Also, if he had something contagious getting him away from the other fish may save them also.

ic ic ic, ok into the other 55 in a bit unless someone says so. or does anyone think that that would put more stress on him and make it worse, because i dont think i have any fish in there that is picking on him atm.

Put him into the QT. Fish can sometimes freak out when they are being picked on. Acclimate him in there and let him calm down, by himself. Observe him for now.

well hes acclimating now, but something is deffinatly wrong cuz normally he hates the net as in hiding from it , this time he came right up to it and went in. ill get back when he is acclimated

Be sure that the QT is a comfy place for him. Keep the lights off tonight. Did you check the QT readings first?

yes i checked the readings they are exactly the same except the nitrates are 5 lower, and temp is a little higher, other than those they are the same.
