coral beauty not eating

I bought a CB about a week or so ago. It is healthy and aclimated well to my tank. It picks on the rocks and sand all day but when i feed it it does not eat. I feed mysis shrimp and formula 1 cubes. I had a CB before and it ate the mysis. Is he starving to death or should i just give him time?

It's tuff to get some angels to eat. Sounds like to me your doing everything right. You might want to try spirulina flakes. Unfortunately some angels never do acclimate to eating foods out of their environment and eventually die. They really need a very established tank with lots of different growth to nip at. coral beautys take awhile to acclimate to aquarium life when i had one it took around 2 weeks before he started to eat formula 2
but you say hes grazing on your rock, you could put some algea sheets wrapped around a rock and let him pick on itand try some live food that may help also fresh fish always does it for me when a fish is being picky

ive got the oppisite problem lol, my coral beauty eats anything but wont eat algea sheets... good thing i've got plenty on my rocks

My cb is the same way...he is grazing off the rocks but ignores anything I put in there. I hope he will eat mysis or brine eventually. I even put Marine Fish Formula in too and he just ignores it. I will try algae sheets in the near future.

I just lost a Large Flame Angel yesterday. He picked at the rock but never ate brine or Formula One. I even try NOI.
