Coral beauty with cloudy eye

I have a coral beauty with a cloudy eye that is starting to show some signs of poping a bit. I have a 75 gal, 50 lbs lr and dsb with some snails. I just wonder what I should do for this guy before it gets bad. I am in the process of getting a hospital set up. I will have water parameters tomorrow.

Hey-
while your doing your water chemistries....start doing a few water exchanges. Often times just changing water will get these cloudy eyes back in line. What else is going on in your tank? is the angel beefing w/ anyone?
Cloudy eyes are often caused by stress, fighting, or trauma. So time to figure out whats going on

sorry for taking so long to get back. He is in there with only a diamond gobie and a percula clown. I am setting up a hospital tank today, and doing a fairly large water change. I will have the water parameters before and after the change in a couple of hours
You thing water quality will help him, I hate to let him swim around in pain, or worse lose an eye because of this.

Oh definately water quality can help. As can improved nutrition and vitimin supplementation.
I'd try that before moving the fish to a hospital.

I had the same problem (CB w/cloudy eye) and no QT/hospital tank. I had a tank available and just added water from my main tank (in turn doing a water change), added a filter, fake rocks to hide in, and thats it. Made sure that hosp. tank was ok over the next few days with parameters and put the CB in and did hypo, was gone in days, noticable in 2 days. HTH;)

Well I did a water change and checked all parameters, all was well but the ph was a bit low 8.0 even. I was hoping that beth was right and water quality would improve the situation. I came home from work today and he was in real distress. I made a quick move to get him to the hospital tank that I just got up and running sunday. I got the fish in and put some drugs in that the lfs recommended. The damn heater went down sometime since sunday morn. Poor fella set all afternoon in 70 degree water. He was a gonner when I got home. I am going to make the qt/hospital tank a very nice place before I get anymore fish. If I had had it up and running he would have been in it friday and getting drugs. He would prolly be pissed off today wondering why he was in that crappy little tank.
