Coral branded shrimp cutting my tang!

I just got a large coral branded shrimp, he is probably 3 inches long with pincher's and everything. A day or two after I put him in I noticed my Scopus Tang has a chunks taken out of his fins. Can a Coral Branded do this to him? I have seen the coral branded try to jump out and grab him.
This is a new tank, so I do not have anything else that could have done this to him. Unless...the cleaner shrimp is attacking him!

Anyone have any suggestions before I try to get rid of the Coral Branded Shrimp.

You must get rid of the CB,, he is definately trying to catch eat or damage your tang.. It is definately not your CS.. a large one especially 3" is very aggressive It is ALWAYS hit or miss with CB...

Yea...get rid of that CBS (if you can)...they're mean! I've been trying to catch mine for weeks to send him packing.

Not all CBS are bad.
I have a Golden blue leged CBS and he is peaceful. My clown even goes to the CBS cave a gets "Cleaned"...

I never cease to be amazed by how often this comes up. CBS are predatory. If you don't want to risk your fish, get rid of him.

It's not guaranteed to happen, but they are predatory--especially toward smaller fish as the CBS gets larger.

Damn, he was so cool. I will try to catch him and send him on his way. I can't believe he cut my tang! uhhh!
How long does it take for tangs fins to grow back full? Or will he have this cut in the fin forever?
I will try to take a picture of both of them later so everyone can see.
