Does anyone have a Coral Catshark. I would love to see some pictures and any useful information you may have with them. Thanks

AC,
I don't have one, but there is one at Sherman Tank Co. for less than 100 dollars. They think that it is a zebra shark. Just an FYI.

Cubuffs,
That's kind of why I'm asking. It's definetely one of my favorite sharks for smallish aquariums. I found a place online that has epaullettes if your interested. You can e-mail me for the link at delpizzo65@msn.com

Cubuffs,
Well I decided to go pick up the shark, and wouldn't you know it she's not eating. Too bad, they're having a 25% off sale.:nope:

Here is my coral cat shark. He is about 13 inches long. When I feed mine he goes out rite away ,gets his food rite away and then retreats back to the cave. He loves silversides too. He is also very active once the lights are off he is like a constant swimming shark at night.

I have had a couple coral cats.......and needless to say they are notorious for not eating.
The way I finnaly got mine to eat was to drop the temp to 69-70f this worked for me on both of my CCS and I received them about 2 years apart.. OH and mine would only eat at night.
I started them out on salt water shrimp.

I wish I could find one in my area too.
I used to have brackish cat sharks, also known as colombian sharks, about 8 inches long. Unfortunately they both died after five years, they were successfully acclimated into saltwater and I reccomend these as well. They can be found in a lot of LFS as brackish and even freshwater cat sharks. Resembles a catfish a lot more than the coral cats pictured above.
I will post of picture of one tonight.

Here's the freshwater/brackish/saltwater cat shark. Not quite the same, but I know they're hardy as hell.
Here he is, old pic from my brackish setup

As you can see above, like i mentioned, he looks a lot more like a cat. But most people asked if he was a shark when they saw him since he moves like it and has some shark features as well.

I used to have those also...the coral cats are actually in the shark species...the cat fish have skin and just look like sharks..nice fish though..I had no luck keeping them
